Advance your child's learning
Come to the expo with your son or daughter and share this dynamic learning environment.
Whether your child is starting school or moving into a post-secondary course or school, the expo is full of valuable information, products and equipment to assist learning.
A goldmine of financial incentives in the form of scholarships, bursaries, apprenticeships and cadetships can save you thousands of dollars. Just ask questions. For example, Country Energy has 75 scholarships to award this year.
Schools of every type are represented at the expo, and here you can talk to the principals and teachers about the learning needs of your child. Talk to some of the students too. They are a delight - on their best behaviour and honoured to be selected by their school for the expo. Each one has a unique experience to describe.
If your child has special learning needs you will find a range of specialists with innovative ideas and materials that you can buy at the expo or access online, if you know about them.
If you want information on the HSC and the SC, public examinations and reporting systems, you can get accurate advice from the government bodies who write the courses and set the regulations that govern public and private schools.
Organisations that support parents with information or workshops can help you through your child's difficult developmental stages. Other parent organisations are advocates for change.
Technology is changing the way we teach and the way we learn. Don't be left behind. The expo demonstrates the latest in new media.
If your child needs extra help with academic work, find yourself a tutor or coaching college at the expo, or talk to the experts about study techniques and software programs.
Then there are holiday programs, extra curricular programs, gap year options, overseas exchanges and adventure destinations.
Wondering whether you school leaver should be entering a trade or tackling university? Come to the expo with them and marvel at all the opportunities open to young people. Talk it through with the professionals and help your child make a decision that satisfies everyone.
If you are a parent, the best way to help and motivate your child is to be part of the learning environment. You will love the education expo.
