Booths can be designed in many ways to reflect the distinctive nature of your service or product. Below are some ideas from previous Education Expos.

Standard Booth

This picture gives an example of a 3x2 metre standard corner booth.

A single booth is carpeted, has white walls, a facia nameboard around the top, power and 2 spot lights.

Furnishings can be hired from Exhibition Hire (02) 9645 7000 or you can supply your own.

If you need a phone connection to access the internet contact Exhibition Hire for an order form. There is an additional charge for this facility.

Standard Booth - A simple design using posters and packaging
is economical yet eye-catching. Each wall panel is 1 metre wide.

Standard Booth - This corner standard booth (3X2metres) has been furnished by the exhibitor using her own fittings. You can bring all your own fittings, or you can hire them if you wish.

Fitting it all in

Economical use of space allows an exhibitor to show many aspects of its service or product, using banners, audio visuals, photographs, models, mannequins, product samples, equipment and gear.

The exhibitor in this 3x2m booth erected a frame above the facia board to add extra space for photographs. You can use the space above your booth for displays or balloons.

BLOCK

A block is a high exposure site of 24 square metres with 8 spot lights.

You can configure your block in any way you wish - as a walk-through, segmented space, walled enclosure, open space . . .

A block is a versatile piece of real estate that can accommodate corporate displays, interactive activities, multiple representatives, demonstrations, workshops or a mini theatre.

A boarding school created a memorable, life-size, walk-thru model of a boarder's study in a block. As visitors tested the bed, read the menu and peeked inside the boarder's wardrobe, the school had time to talk about new-style residential learning (i.e. weekly boarding, the extended day and short stays).

High Rise Block

There is nothing to stop you adding an upper story to a block with a stair well. Talk to Exhibition Hire about this addition.

Going UP !

Look at all this free space above your booth.

From the ceiling you can hang a banner, a kite, a crest or a flag.

You can erect an arch of balloons in corporate colours to
creatively highlight your site from every point.

You can add an extra story to a block site.

Talk to Exhibition Hire about the possibilities.

A Double Booth

A spacious look is inviting and allows you to have several representatives at your booth.

Double booths can be configured in 2 ways.
You can have a 6x2m dimension facing one major aisle, or a 3x4m dimension fronting 2 major aisles.

The Mathemagic booth opposite is 3x4 metres

Exhibition Hire will construct your booth any way you like, with or without walls.

A training company created a personalised theatre in a double booth with a video screen and several rows of seats.

An outdoor adventure company turned a double booth into an experiential rock climbing gym with colourful ropes and helmets.

To promote performing arts, a school transformed a double booth into a performance stage using velvet curtains and photos of past productions.

An excursion company set up an outdoor education scene with tent, pretend campfire and aromatic gum leaves. Showgoers said they could smell the bush as they scrambled about this site and made their bookings!

Small Booth

A small booth is 2 metres wide and 1 metre deep with one spot light and a power point.

This exhibitor built his own fittings. His purpose-built display cabinet and table (with hidden storage) makes very efficient use of space.

Small Booth

A small booth can comfortably accommodate one exhibitor, display material, a small table with storage underneath and a small stool.

The use of wall shelving in this picture conserves floor space.

Small Booth

A colourful backdrop, a small bench, an elevated platform for the exhibitor, a narrow bookshelf and lots of balloons gave this small booth (2X1metre) an arresting look.

An exhibitor is only entitled to occupy the space they hire so measure out your space at home and make sure you and your display fit within your space.

Small Booth

This exhibitor erected a colourful banner across the walls of a small booth. She removed one wall and plugged 2 small down lights into her power point.

A small bench and a round table completed the cozy picture.

Blended Booths - By removing the centre wall between their booths, two boarding schools from Tasmania (a related boys' school and girls' school)
achieved high visual impact that emphasised their connectedness. This double booth provided a relaxed environment for conversation.
Fittings were hired from Exhibition Hire (02) 9645 7000

Interactive Booths

The best way to draw people into your space, so your can talk to them, is to offer interactivity.
Give them something to do.

For example, provide equipment to engage with your products.

Invite showgoers to enter a competition and WIN WIN WIN

Offer a diagnostic test (e.g. an eye test, a spelling test, a chiropractic examination) and give a printout
of the results tucked inside your brochure.

To initiate discussion about its environmental program, one school offered free sapling trees.

One year a university engineering department had a building contest using matchsticks.
Another year the students from UNSW brought along an electric car that initiated conversation.
